This project is back for the second year running. Obviously, it's late starting this year as a lot has happened since last year's Grand Final (Alabama 35, Ohio State 42). To remind you, this is how things finished last year:
Massey Ratings matchup tool was used to reach the following conclusion and will be used again this season.
Red teams were promoted if not already in the Premier division, Blue teams relegated. Teams were then arranged as best I could around lines of longitude, and certain FCS teams were swapped out. Last year I was in a time crunch and just grabbed names I recognized as finalists, I swapped in teams that have better records of recent performance. That gives us these divisions:
